Vaccinations will move to health care centres

Mynd af frétt Vaccinations will move to health care centres
28.02.2022

COVID-19 vaccinations will move from Laugardalshöll to local health care centres as of Monday, February 28th.

The health care centres will offer primary vaccinations for those 5 years old and older, as well as booster shots for those 16 years old and older. To receive a booster shot, at least 4 months need to have passed since receiving the second dose of the primary vaccination.

Those who wish to make use of this service of the health care centres need to book an appointment at a health care centre on My pages on the webpage Heilsuvera.is (this is done by clicking the "Appointment" tab on the left side of the screen). Parents and legal guardians can book an appointment for children 15 years old and younger. Those who do not have an electronic ID can call their health care centre directly and book an appointment for a vaccination.

This service is free of charge. Both the appointment and the vaccine are free.

Vaccinations will not be administered every day at the local health care centres. To make the best use of the vaccine, vaccinations will be administered on specific days at every health care centre. The plan is to use only the Pfizer vaccine.

You can get further information about this service on the online chat at the webpage Heilsuvera.is. You can also call the health care information centre every day between 8:00 and 22:öö at 513 1700 or by contacting the nearest health care centre.
