More about booster vaccinations and basic vaccination

  • People who received Janssen and a booster shot can come in for a third vaccination four months after their original booster vaccination.
  • Those who are 70 years old and above can come in for a booster vaccination if 3 months have passed from them receiving the basic vaccination.
  • Men who are 39 years old and younger should not receive Moderna, according to the Director of Health and it is therefore recommended that they receive Pfizer.
  • Children between the ages 12 and 18 may only receive Pfizer.
  • AstraZeneca is out of stock.
  • Everyone who has an Icelandic National ID Number/kennitala can come in for a vaccination. Those who do not have an Icelandic National ID Number must first register at vaccine.covid.is and wait for confirmation before they can come in.
  • Those who need to receive a vaccination in their car will be vaccinated on Thursdays and Fridays. The simplest way is to have a companion who can come inside and let us know. Those who come alone can call 513-5000 for assistance.
