Precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19 at health care centres

Mynd af frétt Precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19 at health care centres
15.11.2021

Masks are required at all our locations and we urge everyone to wash their hands and to use hand sanitizer. Please limit the number of people accompanying you to appointments, adhere to social distancing measures and limit the time spent inside the clinics.

People with cold symptoms need to get a PCR test and have a negative result before entering the health care clinic. Tests are booked on My pages at heilsuvera.is. Those who do not have digital certificates can book a test through Heilsuvera‘s web chat. Results should come within 24 hours.

A home test, self-administered test or a rapid antigen test does not suffice.

Those who have cold symptoms and are so sick that waiting for PCR results is not possible, will be administered a rapid antigen test at the health care clinic. Furthermore, a PCR test will be taken at the health care clinic, for precaution.

We ask clients to respect this and to not come to the health care clinic without first contacting us if they have flu symptoms.

Protecting the work of health care centres is a collective task for all of us.
