Birth years have been randomly drawn from the vaccination pot and the order this summer will be as follows. The division of birth-year cohorts into weeks is subject to the availability of the vaccine and that it is suitable for the age in question.
It is not possible to move ahead in the queue. It is not possible to show up for a different vaccine than the one you were offered and we cannot change your invitation. Please do not ask us to do this.
- If you receive an invitation but cannot make it you can show up the next time the same vaccine you were offered is being given. The barcode still works but you can only show up with an old invitation at certain times on the vaccinations days, see the schedule.
- If you belong to one of these groups but did not receive an invitation, it is often because there is no phone number listed. If you have an Icelandic social security number (kennitala) you can show up with your birth-year cohort or later to the same vaccine your birth-year cohort was offered.
- Those who are registered as gender-neutral can choose which part of their birth-year cohort they choose to attend with, regardless of invitation.
Look for answers here before you contact the health care centre. The phone lines are very busy.

Those who have an old invitation can show up at designated times on vaccination days, see the schedule, and they can be vaccinated as long as supplies last.
- Everyone born in 1975 or earlier can come on any vaccination day, except for when AstraZeneca is being used.
- Those who are born after 1975 can come to get vaccinated if their birth-year cohort has been invited.
- Those who belong to a group that has been invited to be vaccinated can show up when the same vaccine the group was offered is being used.
